Maximize Your Education Benefit

Keeping education costs low is always a top consideration when earning a degree. And through the Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) Program, run by the Department of Defense, you can receive up to $4000 in military spouse tuition assistance. The program supports military spouses as they pursue education, training, licensing, credentialing and employment in their careers.

To help maximize your MyCAA benefit

  • Heroes program stretches your spouse education benefit further.
  • UA Grantham has one of the lowest tuitions in the nation1, even lower for military spouses.
  • No extra fees, all your textbooks and software are complimentary.
MyCAA Requirements

To see if you are eligible to receive military spouse tuition assistance, visit the MyCAA website. Requirements change from time to time, so it's important to take a look at the guidelines. If you have further questions, call a Military OneSource consultant at (800) 342-9647.

UA Grantham's expert staff is happy to help you navigate the MyCAA process, as well. Simply fill out the online form to the right for a UA Grantham admissions representative to contact you.

Online Learning for Military Spouses

Why Go Virtual?

Attending a traditional university just doesn’t work for many military students, including spouses. You’re busy working a full-time job, caring for your family, or both—which means you don’t have the time to commute to campus and attend in-person classes. By attending an online university like UA Grantham, you get the flexibility you need to earn your degree around your schedule.

GI Bill® for Spouses

As part of the Post-9/11 GI Bill, military members are able to transfer their tuition benefits over to a spouse or child, if they so choose. This means that as a military spouse, your education costs could be partly or entirely covered once your partner has satisfied the necessary eligibility requirements. And, once you and your partner have made the decision to transfer GI Bill benefits, you can use them to enroll in school right away.

Choose Your Path

Military spouses can choose from more than 60 fully online degree and certificate programs at University of Arkansas Grantham. We offer programs in nursing, healthcare, business, computer science and more at the certificate, associate, bachelor’s and master’s levels.

Military Student Support

UA Grantham provides a variety of student support resources that can be especially useful to military spouse students. Dedicated student advisors are available by phone, text or email whenever you need them, and flexible deployment policies allow you to put your program on hold if you suddenly need to move with your partner. No-cost online tutoring and a host of web-based library resources are also available for academic support
