The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II) is authorized by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) and the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) is authorized by the American Rescue Plan (ARP), both provide emergency funding to institutions of higher education to assist students in need during the coronavirus pandemic. University of Arkansas Grantham signed and returned ED’s Certification and Agreement form and agreed to use the applicable amount of funds designated under the CRRSAA and ARP programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students. University of Arkansas Grantham has received a total of $316,392 in HEERF II and HEERF III funds to award to our students.

Per guidance from the federal government, these grants will be distributed to students with exceptional need, which may be determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). GU has received HEERF II and HEERF III funding and will be distributing grants in the amount of $750 to eligible students to help cover expenses related to the cost of attendance (e.g., food, housing and utilities, health insurance, including mental health care, transportation, or childcare) or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus.

  • • Funds from CRRSAA: Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II) and ARP: American Rescue Plan (HEERF III) are not considered financial aid and do not affect a student’s current or future financial aid eligibility.
