Grantham Technology Program
Yes, that’s right! New or returning students who enroll now in a degree program will receive a new Lenovo laptop from University of Arkansas Grantham after they begin class — at no additional cost. This initiative aligns with our mission to make education more accessible, and better enable student participation in online classes. By minimizing difficulties associated with substandard technology, we’re making it easier for students to persist and complete their degree program.
How do I qualify for the offer?
- Complete the admission process and be admitted to an Associate, a Bachelor’s, or a Master’s degree program. Certificate or non-degree-seeking programs and courses are excluded.
- Start class(es) in the next term.
- Provide a mailing address in the continental US (no P.O. Boxes), and be able to sign for delivery. Shipping to destinations outside the continental US, including Alaska, Hawaii, and military posts abroad may be unavailable or delayed. International shipping is not available.
How do I sign up for a laptop?
Approximately two weeks after beginning classes, all degree-seeking students in good academic standing who started in the current term and opted to participate by signing the Education Technology Agreement, will receive login instructions to the program portal. Students need to create an account, provide all necessary information, and complete their order within two weeks of receiving the notification. You can then use the portal to monitor your order status with the provided shipping and tracking information.
What are the technical specifications of the laptop?
The laptop will be a Windows 10 device, manufactured by Lenovo (or equivalent, made by another OEM), with the following specifications: screen size 14"; 4GB RAM, 128GB solid-state drive. Technical specifications are subject to change based on availability. Laptops come fully equipped with the software necessary to be successful in your classes. Students will also have access to Microsoft Office 365 through the student portal.
Other Limitations
Lifetime limit of one laptop per recipient; a student who received a laptop may not be eligible to receive another laptop. Student's eligibility is at the sole discretion of the university and can be changed at any time.
To maintain program eligibility, students are responsible for informing the University of any issues or concerns within 45 days of their start date. Issues may include not receiving login instructions within two weeks from starting classes, or completing the sign-up process and not receiving a shipment confirmation email.
